Styrene Monomer is the main material for producing polystyrene and ABS Resins.
- Styrene monomer is made from benzene and ethylene . Production process is divided into two steps. The first step is benzene alkylation by Mobil/Badger process to produce intermediate product ,ethylbenzene, which, then, is further dehydrogenated to styrene monomer by Fina/Badger processs.
0.906 @ (20℃/4℃)
Aromatic hydrocarbon odor
Insoluble in water, soluble in Alcohol and Ethyl ether
4.5 mmHg @20℃
Styrene should be stored below15℃ with enough TBC inhibitor because heating or exposure to the air would cause styrene polymerized.
